Energy Creates
Energy Creates is a national platform that engages young Canadians in shaping the future of Canada’s energy sector through creativity, innovation, and balanced, fact-based dialogue. Each year, the initiative hosts a creative scholarship challenge open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents entering or enrolled in post-secondary studies. Participants submit original works—ranging from films, essays, and art installations to music, design, and unconventional mediums like LEGO builds or culinary creations—exploring energy’s role in Canada’s economy, environment, and communities. The 2025 contest builds on the themes of the documentary Help Is On the Way, which addresses global energy poverty and demonstrates how Canada’s conventional energy resources can contribute to solving it. A diverse judging panel evaluates entries for creativity, originality, and impact, awarding up to five full-tuition scholarships of up to $100,000 each.
